The Client uses advanced cutting edge technologies in 'frontier' deepwater areas of over 1,000 metres.
A rapidly growing Operator company comprising of a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets.
Purpose: To coordinate and manage Pipeline Engineering Interface activities, and to provide relevant expertise to the Pipeline Disciplines and Project Teams through all phases of the Project, including Select and Define, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up, to hand-over and initial operations.
Accountabilities:
• Deepwater Pipelines Interface, opportunity and risk management.
• Support the multi-discipline Deepwater Project team on all project interface issues, both within the respective project groups and with external interface parties.
• The Interface Engineer provides a proactive service, working with the discipline and project team members to assist with identifying, defining, following up and expediting resolutions to all areas of pipelines related interface. This includes advising on and expediting agreements and soliciting of required technical information from other disciplines and functions.
• Interface with project leads of related disciplines, Technical Authorities (TA) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
• Carry out sizing calculations for pipelines, development and maintenance of pipeline network models, preparation of pipe and coating material selection recommendations, and the preparation of hydrostatic test programs.
• Organise, lead and participate in interface workshops to identify and realise project technical assurance and project schedule and cost synergies (eg. common offshore surveys / services etc).
• Identify and manage areas of pipelines engineering interface related to project assurance, procedures and standards.
• Participate and contribute and manage the interface to pipeline related aspects of commissioning, start-up and test runs.
• Comply with all Deepwater Project to DCAF, Discipline Deliverables Plan (DDP), and PCAPs,
• Carry out pipeline mechanical design, Multiphase modelling & other hydraulic studies, wall thickness calculations, materials selection, Flowline routing, installation considerations, Analysis of stability, expansion, span, buckling, stress, FEA, Cathodic protection, coating and insulation requirements studies, Riser pull-in studies including preparing specifications for riser pull-in equipment, Flowline jumper configuration and connection systems studies, stress analysis, etc. • Comply with and strive to excel in HSE goals and targets, and provide HSSE leadership especially to direct reports and with 3rd. Party contractors.
• Education and Qualifications:
• University degree in an Engineering science plus 10 years of experience with a minimum of 10 years of major international project experience in offshore oil and gas industry.
• Broad knowledge of the various disciplines such as process, mechanical, safety, instrumentation, electrical and civil engineering.
• Strong conceptual innovative thinking with technical, analytical and commercial business skills.
