The Client uses advanced cutting edge technologies in 'frontier' deepwater areas of over 1,000 metres.
A rapidly growing Operator company comprising of a range of large operated and non-operated deep and shallow water assets.
Purpose: – The DWP Subsea OR Lead will functionally report to the DWP OR&A Manager but will support the full portfolio of Deepwater projects. The prime purpose of the role is the development & implementation of a robust plan in support of delivery of all aspects of subsea operations. This being supplemented by the best practice defined in the Operations Readiness Guide (PG14). – Principal Marine operational input into the FEED deliverables for the HMOI scope of two large FPSO developments.
Accountabilities:
The DWP Subsea OR Lead accountabilities include:
- Support the delivery of the OR&A Plan with respect to the subsea systems & their interface with other aspects of the project.
- Contribute subsea operations experience to all aspects of subsea systems delivery to ensure an operationally robust subsea system
- Manage all subsea aspects of Asset Readiness including the recruitment & training of the required subsea operations staff
- Manage the delivery of the subsea parts of the Operations Management System including all required subsea operational documentation & subsea Operating procedures.
- Manage the delivery of all required subsea operational support contracts to support the Asset in the Operate phase.
Education and Qualifications:
- Minimum degree in engineering or equivelant with at least 10 years experience in upstream operations with emphasis on offshore & subsea sytems.
- Deep understanding of all aspects of delivering Operational Excellence in a large offshore asset.
- Good grounding in all aspects of EP business including subsurface, wells, projects & non technical functions.
- Awareness of key customer and stakeholder needs and business drivers, including economic, political, environmental, and social issues.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty and multiple, often conflicting, goals and priorities. Contribute to clear and decisive leadership in an environment of many competing priorities and diverse activities and issues.
- Ability to work with and influence multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
- Demonstrated capability to proactively implement plans, following through with sustained execution, meeting project milestones.
- Familiar with project development challenges in Nigeria or in other regions with similar challenges.
