Ogun State Governor,Senator Ibikunle Amosun has revealed that the infrastructural renewal drive of his administration was aimed at modernizing the state and stimulate its s economic growth.
Governor Amosun said the present administration was determined to create wealth for its people in all fronts.
He made this assertion during his inspection visits to the on-going construction of a 100km Ilara-Ijoun-Egua-Oja Odan-Ilase Road which cuts through the entire Ogun West senatorial district and the 10km Ayetoro-Olado road.
According to hgim, "'Our road projects will help our agriculture greatly and we will thereby begin to feed ourselves,feed others and get many of our people employed.I feel good about the fact that we are being used to change the civilization of some people and I can't be tired of coming to see the progress of work on these roads".
Commending the level of compliance of the people,Governor Amosun said that they have shown that they believed in what we are doing and they can't wait to have Ogun Standard road.But i must thank them for the support and the perseverance of the inconveniences the construction is giving them. i am deeply encouraged. Indeed, they are my motivation."
He affirmed that the only thing the government can do in return for the people is to continue to give them the dividends of democracy.
Chairman,Imeko/Afon Local Government,Hon Tajudeen Ajani who was on hand to receive the governor, disclosed that the people of the area had suffered over the poor state of the road for a long time and praised the State government for deeming it fit to construct the road that will link Imeko to Idi-Iroko without having to pass through Ilaro.
in his own contribution, the Chairman,Yewa North Local Government,Hon Tajudeen Amoo enthused that the 10km long Ayetoro-Olodo Road will open up the area for business and boost its economy,adding that ' the project would link Ayetoro community with Atokun International Market which is some meters away'.
The Onilara of Ilara,Oba, Samuel Adeluyi,thanked the government for opening the book of remembrance to their age long dream of getting the road constructed.h e lamented that the bad state of the road is one of the reasons why the community is considered as backward.
The Project Manager, Achan Dal,assured that his company would work according to specification and bring the vision of the state government to reality by constructing Ogun Standard road with full compliments of road infrastructure.
