The Chairman, Sagamu branch of the Road transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) Mr. Timothew Dabiri has commended the Ogun State Government for the construction of roads across the State.
Dabiri who bore his mind during a media chat stated that the roads would engender smooth transportation of both commuters and goods, reduce accidents and aid general socio-economic growth.
He added that the life span of vehicles plying the roads would be elongated as potholes and other impediments that were having negative effects on vehicles would be fixed.
The transporter noted that already, work had commenced on the Isale-Oko-Akarigbo road and lauded the State government for resuming work on the IIisan-Ago Iwoye road started by the previous administration, asking that similar gesture should be extended to roads in Ikenne and Iperu.
The RTEAN boss however enjoined government to ensure that contractors handling the road projects did quality jobs to ensure longevity and help solve problems presently being encountered by motorists plying the roads.
