Title: Oyo State - Retired Heads of Service, Perm. Secs. laud Ajimobi over pension review
Post by: OyoState on Mar 26, 2013, 02:30 AM
The Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi has been commended by retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries over the upward review of their pensions.

The commendation was contained in a letter written to the Governor by the Association of Retired Heads of Service/Permanent Secretaries (AREHSPSOOS), Oyo/Osun branch.

The association, in the letter dated 11th March, 2013 and signed by Chief M. S. Adigun and Chief J. O. Ajibola, acting Chairman and Secretary respectively, recalled a visit to the Governor by its representatives in November 2012 during which the appeal for the upward pension review was made.

It noted that soon after the Governor's promise, he approved `substantial' upward review of the pensions and the general conditions of its members.

"Your positive action became more remarkable when it is recalled that our struggle for improved remuneration started since 2005 and we were only greeted with occasional ex-gratia awards".

"We hereby express our profound gratitude for your compassionate action to improve our lot which is a manifestation of your purpose-driven administration's resolve to address the welfare of retired and serving public servants", the association.
