If going all the way back to your inbox to peruse those Gmail threads on your Apple handset was a little too taxing, relief has arrived. Google (http://www.engadget.com/tag/Google/) has updated said app (http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/04/gmail-ipad-iphone-ipod-touch-update/) for the iPhone and iPad to enable swiping between messages without the need to return to the main repository. Version 2.1 also makes wrangling multiple emails at the same time a bit easier. When a message is selected, edit mode kicks into gear for archiving, deleting and other essential tasks via a novel actions bar atop the UI. Swipe over to that iTunes link in order to grab the goods for your device of choice.
