Injured Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi, has
expressed delight at the progress he has made so. far since undergoing a surgery on his troubled knee in Finland.
Joel who suffered two relapses of his left thigh injury and underwent surgery last month, said in an exclusive chat that he has started gym work and will begin ball work next month.

"I miss football and that is normal," the Inter Milan player said.

"I am happy that I am back with my rehabilitation but I will soon be fully fit to start playing. I have missed the game but I will be back and better." Obi also hopes that he regains full fitness ahead of the Super Eagles' crowded fixtures in June which also include the Confederations Cup in Rio.

"Of course, I hope to be fit for those games in June and help the team qualify for the World Cup next year."

According to his agent, Renzo Contratto, Obi is expected back in May if his rehabilitation goes according to plan.

Renowned Finish specialist, Sakari Orava, carried out the surgery on Obi's leg as recommended by Inter Milan medical team and management.

The 21-year-old managed only four appearances for Inter Milan in the current campaign: two games in the Serie A, one in the Europa League and another one in the Italian Cup.
The guy is a world class player for Nigeria too. He has done so much for the national team like his brother.
