Job Description & Requirements:
• A degree in any of Mass Communication, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics
• An MBA and relevant professional qualifications are desirable, though not a pre-condition.
• 2 – 4 years active public relations and communications management experience. Those with experience in managing intangibles (services) will be given preference.
• Demonstrated capabilities in: a. Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies b. Creating an integrated marketing and communication strategy c. Building and managing media and community relationships d. Writing and editing in-house magazines, newsletters, articles and speeches e. Preparing and supervising the publication of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional items, etc. f. Working with Website developers toward building acceptable websites for special projects and events g. Sourcing and managing interviews and speaking opportunities
• Excellent command of the English Language. A second international language is desirable, though not a pre-condition.
• Well informed on the Nigerian and African business environment
• A strong and persuasive writer, with strong analytical skills
• Readiness to play at the international stage
• A strong sense of team work, and ability to manage and execute programmes 10. Excellent IT skills, skilled in managing on-line presence, website update, expert level knowledge and experience in using the social media
• Creative, innovative, thinking through, and thinking outside the box
• Practical knowledge of computer graphics (corel draw and photoshop) – desirable
• Drive, competence, flexibility and willingness to learn
• An understanding of how B2B works is an advantage
• Proposal writing skills
Starting Salary: N960k to N1.2m. May vary depending on the value the candidate is bringing to the table.
