The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku described as 'grossly unpatriotic, irresponsible and unfortunate', a recent statement by former governor of Abia state, Uzor Orji Kalu, that the nation's security agents are responsible for the bombings across the country.
Mr Orji had alleged that the security operatives are engaging in the bombings to enhance increase in funding for security vote.
According to Mr Maku, politicians and former public office holders are "speaking without responsibility."
The bemused Minister decried the attitude of a former chief security officer of a state for making such "outlandish statements."
He urged them not to politicise the nation's security challenge and as he lamented the statement noting that hundreds of the nation's soldiers are killed in the various insurgency attacks that have been raging the country.
