Job Description:
Main activities/responsibilities;
1) Organize and conduct concrete block-makers forums.
• Develop the presentation material, kit & associated logistics.
• Conduct the block-makers forum as per the annual schedule.
2) Provide support in Launch of CEM II 42,5 in bulk to project market
• Prepare the technical pitch for influencing Specifiers & Key Account customers.
• Work with Key Accounts Manager, to generate business of bulk as per the targets set for the year.
3) Pre & Post sales – Technical Services to customers.
• Advise customers (e.g. new infrastructure project) on benefit of using UniCem in conjunction with Key Account/ national Sales Mgr.
• Attend customer complaints on cement quality and performance (work in coordination with Quality manager) – role is to investigate and analyze the cement performance in concrete.
• Bring a closure to the customer complaint by giving him feedback.
4) Product development & Quality Assurance
• Member of company's Product Development Committee PDC).
• Work closely with Plant, Sales and marketing on development of cement products.
• Monitor Unicem cement products' performance in market and by working with PDC members, ensure same are within defined market expectation parameters.
5) Safety
• Promote Safe operation of working environment, customer and other company stake holders.
• Take training & practice Defensive driving, VFL visits.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Qualification/Experience;
• Graduate in a technical discipline preferably in Civil Engineering with knowledge of the Cement and construction processes.
• Experience & Understanding of building material markets.
• Able to communicate and simplify technical literature.
• Experience in working with external stakeholders.
• A minimum of 3 years cognate working experience in construction and/ or building materials sales and service.
Behavioural and/or managerial competencies;
• Innovative and Good problem solving skills.
• Team-orientation: ability to manage and work well within different teams to achieve objectives.
