Namibian roads into the Richtersveld Transfrontier Park were still closed for traffic on Wednesday, SA National Parks said.
Spokeswoman Gabrielle Venter said heavy rains flooded roads leading to the park from the Namibian side. All the access roads on the South African side of the park were still open and accessible.
The roads along the river on the Namibian side were closed indefinitely and could not be used at all.
"The roads affected have been closed to ensure visitors' safety during this time."
