Having won the Nigeria women league in three straight years – 2010 to 2012, Lati Erinfolarin, head coach of First Deep-water basketball club of Lagos has given an assurance to their teeming fans that they have perfected plans to cruise on to another title win this season.
.
The club made 100% success start in the defence of the title by winning all their games in the league's phase one which ended in Abuja last week.
.
"Phase one was just the opener. Our best is yet to come. We  are focused on giving the best again and our fans should look forward to seeing a better performance from us in the second phase coming up in Asaba in May and the play-off later in Lagos," he stated.
.
A glance at the cumulative table shows that though First Deep-water were best defensively over others in Phase One in Abuja besides topping their  group that included Sunshine Angels, Nigeria Customs and others, they trailed rivals, First Bank in total points scored.
.
However, Erinfolami, former captain of Nigeria's male national team was positive his team was not just on course to retaining the title and keep a hold on the female league, but also have an eye on equaling and surpassing an existing 10 year record of club reign from 2001 to 2010. That record is held by First Bank basketball club  aka Elephant Girls who are also a Lagos team.
.
Meanwhile, club boss,  Babatunde Babalola has pledged  that no stone would be left unturned in the desire of the owner company to provide the best in welfare and enabling environment for the club to thrive.
