QPR manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he would have liked to have signed Peter Osaze Odemwingie from West Brom.
.
The striker famously turned up at Loftus Road on the evening of transfer deadline day but a move did not go through and he returned to West Brom.
.
"We scored goals since then. We've not been short of goals since Remy came in. He's scored goals," Redknapp said.
.
"His goal ratio has been good. He's got himself back in the French squad. I'd have loved to have had Odemwingie as well.
.
"We've scored goals since the window. Since Remy came goals haven't been a problem."
.
Goals have not been a problem in recent weeks with Rangers scoring nine times in their last four games, but they have also conceded eight, costing them six points against Aston Villa and Fulham. Redknapp has put that down to bad luck.
.
"We beat Sunderland, went to Southampton and won and then played really well at Villa," he added.
.
"The keeper at Villa had the most inspired day and they scored with their first shot in the half, right on half-time. It was just one of those days where you batter teams.
.
"They'd have walked off and got booed at half-time. It changes the whole atmosphere in their dressing room and our dressing room. That's how it went for us.
.
"You need a bit of luck with anything in luck. I just feel you need the breaks at the right time.
.
"I've walked off and wondered how have we ever won that game. When it's going your way it happens. When it isn't going your way you get beat."
The coach should calm down and wait till next season to buy him into his club. He needs a player like him
