(http://fmi.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/MISAU-300x199.jpg) President Godluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Dr. Shehu Abubakar Misau as the substantive Administrator of the Public Service Institute of Nigeria (PSIN) Abuja. The appointment is for a term of four years in the first instance, and renewable subject to performance for another four year term.
Before this appointment, Dr. Misau has served as the acting administrator of the Institute since 2009.
An indigene of Katagun, Bauchi State, Dr. Misau got the Bachelor and Master degrees in Economics from the University of Maiduguri and a Doctorate degree in Public Sector Economics from Leicester University in the United Kingdom.
During his over thirty years working career in both the public and private sectors, he was at various times an Executive Director of African Capacity Building Foundation based in Harare Zimbabwe; Director of Revenue, Budget Office of the Federation; Bauchi State Commissioner of Commerce, Industry, Cooperatives and Tourism Development; Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, NAFDAC as well as Group Head, Public Sector of Afribank Nigeria PLC.
