We've seen furniture that plays tricks on our eyes (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/15/ferruccio-laviani-good-vibrations-furniture_n_2884626.html) before. But as for an entire house that looks digitally distorted? Well, there's always a first time for everything. When we came across the 'Crooked House' in Sopot, Poland, which was designed as an homage to children's book illustrator Jan Marcin Szancer's (http://www.szancer.pl) works, we did a double-take. And, no, it's not your contact lenss that make it appear blurry.
Found on the town's popular Monciak Street, the "Crooked House" attracts tourists from all over. We learned from the wacky structure's official website (http://krzywydomek.info/about-krzywy-domek/history.html) that architects Szotyńscy & Zaleski (http://www.szotynscy.pl) designed and built it in 2004. Now, the 43,000-square-foot building is home to the Rezydent shopping center, and it (proudly (http://krzywydomek.info/about-krzywy-domek/about-us.html)) joins the ranks of the world's strangest buildings (http://villageofjoy.com/50-strange-buildings-of-the-world/).
