Job summary: General Responsibilities:
-This project critical position will manage all engineering applications involving interfaces existing between the contracted scope of supply and any third party organization or system
-Close out of interfaces will necessitate working closely with other engineers on the project, and also attendance at interface meetings including customer and other EPC contractors
-This position will be involved in testing at key project phases including FAT, FIT, SIT, and pre-commissioning to verify interface
-Position responsible for maintaining the External Interface Register (EIR) which includes all technical information, communication, and requirements for every interface
-Tracking and ensuring timely resolution of interfaces, ensuring proper documentation and close-out of interfaces as well as arranging and coordinating interface meetings with Company`s other contractors as necessary
Experience/Requirements:
Required:
-Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical or similar technical field plus 6 years` related experience. Post graduate education such as a Masters or PhD in Engineering may be substituted for up to 2 or 3 years experience respectively
-3 or more years` experience in an interface role position
-Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Preferred:
-This position requires an understanding of all equipment supplied under the project as well as the ability to manage information flow efficiently. Also, specific knowledge of the design requirements of our deliverables and a firm understanding of our contractors` requirements is necessary
-Knowledge of commercial aspects required. Previous offshore experience is preferred
-Experience in engineering, manufacturing or construction industry preferably in an oilfield services or related industry
