Title: Ogun State - Ogha confirms DG nominee for Debt Mgmt. Office

 The Ogun State House of Assembly has confirmed the nomination of Mr. Hassan Taiwo Adekunle as the Director General for the Debt Management Office (DMO) for the State.

The confirmation was consequent upon the adoption of the report of the Committee of Whole presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Suraj Ishola Adekunbi which was earlier presented by his Deputy, Hon. Tola Banjo.     With the confirmation, Mr. Adekunle, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria becomes the pioneer Director General of the newly established Debt Management Office in the State.     The new Director General of DMO had worked at different times as Director of Finance and Account of the State Agriculture and Multi-purpose Credit Agency (OSAMCA) Assistant General Manager, Finance in the State Water Corporation as well as Director of Finance and Account in the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology before his confirmation.     Meanwhile, the Ogun State House of Assembly has commiserated with the people and Government of Ekiti State over the sudden death of their Deputy Governor, Mrs. Funmi Olayinka, describing her as a seasoned banker and administrator who had contributed immensely to the development of her State.     Members prayed for the repose of her soul and later observed a minute silence in her honour.
