A lawyer and graduate of University of Lagos, Funmi Lawal who was diagnosed with malignant sarcoma, a kind of cancer at the shoulder region is dead.
The cancer was said to have spread to her lungs making it difficult for her to breathe without the aid of a respirator.
Unfortunately she gave up the fight at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, after undergoing an amputation on her left arm in January to save her life.
Earlier during the cause of donations to save her life, popular entertainers (Don Jazzy, Tonto Dike) amongst others donated to save her life.
