"It is a very complex situation and I'll tell you this, there's poverty in the north, there is a lot of poverty. "Even now as we speak there's a lot of poverty in the north not an ordinary poverty but a special kind of poverty as there are generation that are condemned to poverty you know and there seems to be a social connivance to this". He said to an extent poverty played a role in the birth of the Islamic sect but it is not poverty that is responsible for what Nigerians are witnessing now rather a backfire, backfire in the sense that it is the result of politicians who take advantage of these people with low level of education, marginalisation and disenchantment to front their political ambition.

Povery is everywhere in Nigeria. Not only in the Northern part of Nigeria. It is all over the country and that is very sad.
