Speaking as a guest on Channels Television's programme, View From The Top, Mr Ahmad said, "I think is all about politics if you ask me but politics employing religion as a potent force" According to him, those behind the Boko Haram insurgence understand and know that religion easily incite emotions and deep passion and by analysis certain communities go the extra mile to turn communities against one another. He gave examples of where people with different backgrounds that has been living peacefully for many suddenly became enemies as the Urhobos' and Shekiris', Jos, Umuleri and Uguleri,Ife and Modakeke and Offa/Erinle as examples of politically incited crisis.
