In a brilliant semi final match played between India and Pakistan, India defeated Pakistan by 29 runs and won the match. The final score stood at India: 260 for 9 wickets in 50 over while pakistan scored only 231 before all the wickets fell in the final over of the match.
The final over was bowled by Zaheer Khan who took the final wicket, that of Misbah-ul-Haq, and decided the match in India's favour.
Celebrations broke out all over the country as people took to bursting crackers and clebrating India's victory. India has now moved onto to the finals of the World Cup 2011, where they will face off with Sri lanka to battle for the prestigious title of the winners of the ICC World Cup 2011
