Job Summary:
• The primary responsibility of this role is to adapt and deploy the defined campaigns and demand generation activities within the product and geographical scope in order to achieve the product revenue goal
• As an expert in the positioning of the product in the market place, this role will combine the content of the product playbook delivered by the EMEA sales development manager, with the knowledge of the local market, and deliver the defined product lifecycle activities both internally and externally
• The role will map the customers business problems to technical solutions, and recommend technical solutions including architecture, technologies, hardware, software using Oracle and alliance partners products
• The responsibilities of the role include those that are traditionally covered by product marketing, product sales and business development in support of achieving the product revenue goal
Scope:
• This role is part of the core product management team made up of the cluster/regional product sales director, the EMEA product sales director for the product set and the cluster regional presales lead for the product.
• As a team they will execute all the defined activities to introduce, position, promote and sell the product to achieve the revenue targets.
Education and Experience:
• Proven ability to execute sales campaigns across multiple organizations
• Clear understanding of key market drivers and competition in specific product area
• Ability to articulate Oracle and Oracle value proposition and positioning of specific product within the Oracle stack
• Proven ability to understand specific customer business problems and articulate Oracle solutions to business problems both internally and to the customer
• Competent in written and spoken English
• Has 5 plus years of experience in a relevant product related area
• Proven excellence in understanding of respective products/technologies
• Regarded as a self-starter, able to manage a number of tasks and projects simultaneously without intervention from a manager
• Proven ability in operating successfully in a matrix organization
• Proven presentation skills in both 1-1 and 1-many customer and internal environment
Brief Description: Responsible for the identification of relevant new business opportunities and design "go-to-market" plan to deliver measurable and significant revenues.
Detailed Description: As a Business Development Representative assigned to strategic accounts which may be grouped by industry where Oracle has a limited presence. Acts as primary liaison between Consulting, Sales, and Oracle Development for the products sales opportunties. Generate business opportunities through prospecting mass market programs and leveraging third party partners. Develops and coordinates a worldwide relationship that establishes Oracle as a preferred vendor and optimizes Oracle*s sales of product. Executes aggressive strategies and plans to successfully drive the product as the preferred customer selection. Provides account representatives with information on how the product addresses specfic needs, and assists account representatives in using Oracle*s products to leverage large revenue opportunities. Assists in articulating product message, coordinates technical resources and successful closes referenceable deals.
Job Requirements: Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years of progressively increased responsibilities in sales or sales management. Marketing and business development experience preferred. Business and account planning implementation experience. Conversant in Oracle technology and product strategies. Proven track record in managing multiple opportunities and ability to negotiate and close complex deals. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
