Title: Is it mandatory for a kid to study in Montessori / Day care?

Thanks for your answers, Im based out of India - Bangalore to be specific my son is now 2 yrs and 3 Months. Around here there are Montessori's / Day cares which are exorbitantly priced. Please share your thoughts on this. I'm confused :)
