Keshi reveals plans to give in-form Everton star another Eagles chance

Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi has declared that Everton of England in-form striker, Victor Anichebe is very much in his national team plans but added that he will be called up to join his Super Eagles teammates at the appropriate time.

Keshi who is currently holidaying with his family in the United States of America, USA, said that he's monitoring all his players as well as other Nigerian players plying their trades in various leagues in Europe, saying that he will bring any of them doing well into the senior national team whenever the time is ripe.

The former Hawks of Togo and Eagles of Mali national team manager has been under intense pressure from Nigerians to include Anichebe in his Super Eagles squad despite the power shooting Everton forward not listed in his provisional 30-man team for the Super Eagles June crowded engagements.

"Anichebe is definitely in my plans", Keshi said with emphasis on Wednesday from his base in United States of America.

"I'm happy that Anichebe, like every other Nigerian player out there in Europe is doing well for his club.

"I want to assure Nigerians that he's still part of us at the national team. He will be called up whenever the occasion demands", Keshi who is called the Big Boss added.

The former Super Eagles captain who won the 1994 Nations Cup as player and 2013 AFCON as coach stressed that his perceived face off with NFF was a media creation and emphasized that he has a mandate to ensure that the Super Eagles performed well at the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil in June as well as qualifying for the 2014 World Cup finals.
He has been fantastic for Everton FC all season long. I hope Stephen Keshi would give him a recall to the national team. Nigerians would be glad
