According to Kebbi State Governor, Alh. Sa'idu Dakingari his administration has also enlisted the support of traditional institutions on community policing in the State which he said is well entrenched. "The Chief here is a retired Commissioner of Police and he has been doing very well in this area, this is why we have decided to encourage him", the Governor stated.

General Hospital Marafa He said other projects executed in the chiefdom include an earth dam (one of 7 in the state), a secondary school and a 50 bed general hospital.

The Minister for Special Duties, Malam Kabiru Tanimu Turaki who has been on the Tour of the State emphasized that the essence of governance is to do what will have direct bearing on the lives of the people. "This palace from the account of the district head has been able to bring a sense of belonging and being part and parcel of the system by the people of this district", Turaki stated.

"We are therefore not surprised to see people of this town coming out to receive us on this Good Governance Tour. It is one thing to build projects but projects like this have the capacity to reduce tension in the land and when tension is reduced there will be peace and when you have peace you will then have the necessary foundation for growth and it is growth that brings progress", the Special Duties Minister explained.

The Chief of Mahuta Town, Alh. Hudu Danmalam, Chief Danmalam appreciated what the State Government had done in the chiefdom. "I have been here for eight years and I have not been happy for those eight years as a third class Emir because the house I've been staying is a house of a village head not a district head or third class Emir. But we are now happy and support the Governor a hundred percent", he stated.
