Title: Ogun State - Awolowo family commends OGSG for support towards Oluwole’s burial

 The Ogun State Government has been commended for standing by the Awolowo family since the passage of the publisher of the Tribune titles, Chief Oluwole Awolowo on the 27th of last month, particularly, its support towards giving him a befitting burial.

   An elder sister of the late publisher, Mrs. Tola Ojediran gave the commendation today in Ikenne while receiving the Senate President, Senator David Mark who paid a condolence visit to the family, Chief (Mrs), Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo at Ikenne.     Mrs. Ojediran who said that the family had been going through difficult times having lost two members in the last two years, noted that the State Government had done a lot to ameliorate their pains.     “As you know Your Excellency, my brother fought a good fight. We thank you and the entire Senate for this visit. We are touched by it. We particularly want to thank the Ogun State Government for its support and for making Oluwole’s burial very comfortable”, Mrs. Ojediran said.     Speaking earlier, The Senate President, Senator David Mark described late Chief Oluwole Awolowo as a personal friend, a humble and peace loving man who lived his life to improve on the legacies of the Awolowo family.     “Mama, this death should increase your faith and belief in God. He has lived a fulfilled life. He maintained the legacy of the family. He even improved on the dignity of the family and fought a good fight. For me, he was a good friend and confidant. I know that he did all he could to make sure the family’s legacy is improved upon”, the Senate President said.  He charged other members of the family to continue to build on the legacy of the late patriarch of the family, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.     Senator David Mark who was received by the Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa was accompanied by the Deputy majority Whip of the Senate, Senator Hosea Agboola.

The commendation is really worth it i must say. Not so many people would do a thing like that. Great one i must say.
