Irked by the inability to coordinate the conduct of the House; insensitive to the sitting of the Councillors; incompetent to handle the House; inexperience; among other reasons, Oshodi Isolo Local Government Legislators (Councillors) have impeached its House Leader, Hon. Abolore Shobayo.

Speaking with Saturday Vanguard, newly installed Leader, Hon. Adeyinka Adesina Quosim from Afariogun Ward, stated that "Shobayo was impeached because he's a new Councillor, he's inexperience; insensitive to the sitting of the Councillors; incompetent to handle the House; among other reasons."

In his own contribution, Hon. Luqman Lanre Ayinla, Chief Whip of the council, noted that the action of the Councillors was purely legislative matter, adding, "the impeached Leader has been refusing to pass resolutions of the Legislature to the Executive arm of the Local Government.

"The House member, having investigated and found him guilty, six other members of the House, including one opposition member, from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Shogunle Ward, Hon. Is'haq Olamilekan passed a 'Vote of No Confidence' that impeached Hon. Abolore Shobayo on Wednesday," Hon. Ayinla stated.

He stated further, "When we are starting, we decided who to lead us, nobody interfered, no leader came in, no leader of the party came in, we sat down and chose our Leader as at the time we came in; but, along the line we realised that he has not been leading us well, probably because of his inexperience. "How can you sit down in your office, doing your official duty without necessary tool to work in the office," Ayinla asked.
The impeachment was justified in my opinion according to the offences he committed. Incompetence in government positions should not be condoned...
