Job Description
• Design Estimates
• Setup and control of project files
• Co-ordination of design information between disciplines
• Production of conceptual layouts and surveys
• Check drawings produced by junior Designers
• Production of design drawings
• Checking of design drawings
• Leadership and Supervision of design staff
• Initiation of squad checks and Generation of MTO's
• Working within budgeted manhours
• Working to a given schedule
• Accuracy of design documentation and MTO's
• Advising the Lead Engineer promptly when information and scope deviations arise
• Working to and using the company management systems
• Compliance to company, client, local and international standards as given in the project PEP
Job Requirements: Experience with advanced engineering design and data systems such as SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Foundation, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical
Industry Specific Experience: 12 years experience within a design office
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
• Minimum of Higher National degree in Engineering
• Experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS. PDMS or AutoPlant
• Excellent computer skills with AutoCAD or Microstation, excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, ability to create accurate design drawings from base project information, reporting, estimating and supervision skills
