Job Description
• The role holder is the single point of contact for key line manager(s) in country associated with one or more functions. They have day to day accountability for executing the business function(s) people priorities in country.
• They may manage one or a small team of HR Relationship Associates to ensure this.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all staff related policies, procedures are in compliance with Local Regulatory requirements, reflect best local practices and are within Group directives.
• Advise Business and functions on issues of attracting, retaining and motivating staff of highest quality.
• Drive the performance management process in the Bank in line with Group policy and practice.
• Be able to provide thought leadership for SCB both within and outside the organisation and by building effective networks within and outside the Group
• Support the country in manpower planning and ensure that headcount is maintained at approved level
• Ensure that the compensation policy reflects market and are in line with Group requirement.
• Take overall responsibility for HR risk management in the HR department and ensure that people related risks are assessed and treated in accordance with Group Policies and procedures
• Take overall responsibility for Employee Relations in the Bank in line with the Labour Laws of the Country, Group Policy and Fair Accountability Principles
Qualifications & Skills:
• A Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management or a related qualification and or professional qualification in Human Resource Management. A relevant Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
• At least 3-5 years experience in Human Resources Management
• Knowledge of the Labour Laws in The Gambia and the general Industrial Relations environment in The Gambia
• Strong oral and written communications skills
• Strong coaching abilities
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Strong interpersonal /Social skills
