Post by: Folami David on Apr 22, 2013, 11:29 AM
Nigeria Football Federation has cleared the air on why they are yet to announce the new National Technical Director and his assistants, insisting that it was notdue to disagreement over salaries of the trio selected for the jobs.
.
There were media reports that Amodu Shuaibu, Kashimawo Laloko and James Peters have rejected the N3 million seal put on their salaries after the interview and subsequent negotiation with the trio.
.
But the chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Barrister Chris Green, said that salaries of the trio was never concluded adding that the coaches only quoted what they wanted as take- home pay.
.
"We are yet to negotiate or fix the wages of the three coaches who would take charge of the technical department. We have made our recommendations to the executive committee of the NFF who has the final say on the matter."
.
" I don't know where they got the report from that Amodu rejected N3 million and is asking for N6 million. We have not fixed the salaries of anybody. NFF will take a decision at its next meeting of the executive committee soon," he stated.
.
He said the three-men are expected to re organise the technical and development department as well as work in unison with all the national teams coaches.
