Governor Oshiomhole said this on Monday while swearing in the 14 local Government Chairmen who emerged winners at the Local Government polls that was concluded on Sunday. The Governor said it is to the credit of the Edo State Independent Electoral Commission (EDSIEC) that the ballot papers were printed abroad outside all external influences adding that he had no reason to rig the local government polls. He however urged the EDSIEC Chairman to apologise to the people of the State for the late arrival of materials. The Chairman of Ovia North East Local Government Area Lucy Omagbon pledged their commitment to justify the confidence reposed on them by the people. Elections for the four local Governments left will be conducted on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
