Curtin University offers Woodside Indigenous Undergraduate Scholarships in the field of engineering and science. The students of Australia can apply for this scholarship. Two scholarships are offered. -Be enrolled full time (100 credits per semester) in an eligible enabling or undergraduate course
-Be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported place at Curtin University

Scholarship Description: Woodside is the largest independent oil and gas company in Australia. Throughout Woodside's 58-year history, Woodside has strived for excellence in its safety and environmental performance and Woodside aims to ensure that wherever it operates, the community benefits from its presence. Woodside currently produces around 900, 000 barrels of oil equivalent each day from an extensive portfolio of facilities which it operates on behalf of some of the world's major oil and gas companies. In 2012, Woodside began production from the Pluto LNG Project. The purpose of the Woodside Indigenous Scholarship is to support and encourage Indigenous students to consider a career in science and engineering or a discipline aligned to Woodside's business needs. Indigenous candidates from the Pilbara and Kimberley regions of Western Australia are encouraged to apply.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for one year of the course.
What does it cover? Each scholarship will provide the following financial support for one year of the course (based on full time enrollment):
-A stipend of $5000 per annum – The stipend may be used at the recipient's discretion to contribute towards payment of their course fees, or for other education-related expenses such as text books and/or general living expenses.
-Recipients will be offered opportunities to gain an insight into a career in science and/or engineering, which may include an internship/s with Woodside.
-Where possible, a mentor will be assigned to the scholarship recipients, providing a unique connection and insight into the business world and Woodside, in particular, whilst assisting their choice of career path or discipline.
Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on merit based.
Notification: All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application via the official communication channel via Oasis within 4-6 weeks of the closing date.
How to Apply: -An applicant must submit a completed application form with supporting documents attached by 4:00pm on the scholarship closing date, to the Scholarships Office at the Bentley campus.

-The scholarship will be awarded if there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
-In order to accept the scholarship a recipient will be requested to return a signed Terms and Conditions document and provide bank details.
-Once the scholarship has been accepted, the scholarship will commence from the first semester of study.
-This Scholarship is not transferable to another major, course, faculty, campus or university.
