(http://fmi.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/DSC_0244-300x214.jpg) An improved effective collaboration between the military and relevant stakeholders in security matters is very key and will serve as a leverage to efficient security strategy which in turn will affect the nation positively. The Permanent Secretary, Aliyu Ismai'la, made these comments as he continues his farmiliarisation tour of Agencies under the Ministry of Defence.
Aliyu Ismai'la while visiting the Military Pensions Board (MPB) expressed satisfaction with the board's performance especially in the area of improved payment of pensions which before now was a source of concern.
(http://fmi.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/DSC_0291.jpg)Earlier, the chairman of the Military Pension Board, Commodore Simon Audu said their current challenge was that since their movement to the new site outside the city centre, they lack basic amenities such as staff housing, clinic, schools and funds for public enlightenment.
At the Defence Intelligence Agency, Aliyu Ismai'la assured that he will ensure the prompt release of funds especially to the Intelligent Services since their satisfaction will greatly enhance their service delivery which will also in turn impact on the country as a whole for peaceful co-existence, positive image and understanding with other countries of the world. The Permanent Secretary also said he will support and cooperate with the agency since the Ministry is created for the Services.
The Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major General SA Audu said Intelligence Officers on foreign mission are working very hard to uphold the cordial relationship between Nigeria and other nations as it relates to security of life and properties.
