The Commissioner for Health, Dr. Temitope Ilori who made this known at a briefing in Osogbo the state capital said each household in all the rural and urban centres is entitled to two insecticide treated nets to help combat the scourge of Malaria. Speaking on the significance of this years' World Malaria Day, Dr ilori said Osun government bearing in mind the negative impact malaria plays particularly in infant and mortality death rate expended about N200million on drugs alone in the first quarter of the year . The commissioner also disclosed that part of the government's proactive measure is ensuring that malaria test and treatment is free for all in all government owned hospitals across the state. She advised the citizens of the state to ensure that the environment is always clean in order to prevent the increase of mosquitoes in the communities.
