Job Title: Creative Economy Digital Manager

The British Council is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to fill the post of Creative Economy Digital Manager.
Purpose of job: To work with the arts and creative economy team in Nigeria to design digital strategy for Nigeria Creative Economy programme, deliver digital programmes, audiences and partnerships which contribute to the British Council's cultural relations programme through the creative industries.
Context and environment:
The British Council in Nigeria works in three strategic business areas; Arts, English, Education and Society. The post will work directly to Assistant Director Nigeria who is responsible for our work in the Arts and Creative Economy.
The principal, but not exclusive focus of our Arts work in Nigeria is in Lagos.
Arts and creative economy staff work to develop international opportunities in specific priority areas:
• Building creative partnerships and collaborations
• Showcasing the UK in Nigeria and vice versa
• Developing skills and leadership in the creative sector
• Harnessing the power of arts in achieving international development goals
We are increasingly exploring ways to use technology to expand reach and engagement for our programme as well as support the artistes and creative entrepreneurs that we work with to use technology more effectively in their work.
