As the Pay Master you will be responsible for the payroll process, including the month end journal vouchers, reconciliation of the payroll accounts and other statistics required from the payroll section while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and the best of relationship with coordinators from the other department. This role will also be fully involved to support the change process and to contribute to the overall success of the Finance strategy. Key responsibilities of the role include: – Perform payroll processing and month-end closing of payroll; Attend to employee enquiries in relation to pay issues; Verify the leave entitlement for all leave requests prior to approval; Prepare End of Service calculations for approval; Organise change of status and new joiner information for approval; Prepare monthly/yearly internal manpower analysis report; Manage relations with the Human Resources department. – In return we'll give you a generous financial and benefits package including duty meals, hotel discounts worldwide and the chance to work with a great team of people. Qualifications:
• A degree in Accounting with a strong knowledge of payroll systems.
• At least 5 years experience as a Pay Master in a 5 star class international hotel
• Good understanding of the Nigeria/African business and marketenvironment
• Ability to demonstrate a proven track record of results achieved, creativity and the implementation of new practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written & oral proficiency in English)
• Service minded and ability to involve and support operations
• Business savvy and good people skills
