(http://fmi.gov.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/road-construction-300x225.jpg) The Federal Government has reiterated its readiness on the development of key road infrastructure across the country and will collaborate with States' governments to achieve this.
This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Works, Amb. Bashir Yuguda while briefing media men on the National Good Governance Tour at Mayanci-Anka-Daki Takwas Federal roads in Zamfara State.
The Minister also stated that the road is vital as it enhances economic activities in the State which links to Zuru-Kontagora-Lagos axis which enhances transportation of cattle, farm produce and other services.
Amb. Yuguda hinted that the said road was a result of collaborative effort between the Federal Government and Zamfara State, adding that it is one of the critical infrastructure components of Mr. President's Transformation Agenda aimed at boosting economic activities in the country.
The Minister however, used the medium to encourage other States' governments to emulate the Zamfara State to deliver on key infrastructure development across the country.
Ambassador Yuguda also stated that the Federal Government is determined to link the six geopolitical zones of the country with dual carriage ways to ease traffic congestion more especially during the season of festivities.
