A team of eight lecturers from the Suleyman Demirel University in Turkey visited the Nigerian Turkish Nile University last week.
Led by Dr. Serdar Atilgan a lecturer of Chemistry Department from the university, the group used the visit to introduce their university to the Nigerian market during the Nigerian Turkish Friendship and Cultural Festival held at NTNU on 20th April 2013.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Dr. Atilgan informed his that the decision to come to Nigeria was hinged on stories heard about Nigeria and they decided to use the festival as an opportunity to visit Nigeria and meet its people.
He said they were impressed with the warm reception given to them by Nigerians tagging them as "kind and smiling people" which explicates the attraction between Nigerians and Turkish people.
