JOB DESCRIPTION
• Ensure that employees understand performance management, plans, processes and practices
• Ensure that employees understand how performance management aligns to individual and business goals.
• Drive the execution of defined key projects in performance management across the Group and in all locations.
• Communicate and implement changes in Performance Management practice to all stakeholders
• Conduct qualitative & quantitative Performance Data analysis and action planning
• Support strategic decision making at all levels and also offer operational recommendations to Group Head of HR
• Develop realistic and appropriate performance management framework and standards
• Give feedback concerning performance management system to Group Head of HR and the Project Rumba team.
• Articulate and communicate constructive performance appraisal & feedback to assist in the identification, rewarding and retention of high performance staff.
• Make available relevant performance feedback to HR units (L&D, Talent, Reward) so as to aid employee development and retention
• Regular review of the performance management practice such that it complies with Sahara Group's objectives
• To be up to date with statutory performance management frameworks relevant to the Group and its Operating companies.
• Oversee the administration of the performance management system
• Dispute resolution and setting up mediation panels where employees and line managers have differences concerning Performance Appraisals or matters related thereto.
• Generate periodic reports (as required) on Performance Management activities to Group Head of HR
• Ensure that all eligible employees participate in the Performance Appraisals
• Co-ordinate the performance management processes to assist in the identification and retention of high performance staff
• Ensure that there is a nexus between performance management and other relevant policies
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• A good B.Sc. degree in any Social Science discipline or any other relevant field
• Minimum of 4 years work experience with at least 2 years in Human Resources which must include performance management.
• Excellent communication and counseling skills with demonstrated ability to share knowledge
• Strong time management, interpersonal and communication skills
• A practical, logical and systematic approach
• Should be detail oriented with strong analytical skills
• Ability to sort and sift facts, noting inconsistencies
• Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
