Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Organisation: intercourseual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

SARC is a gender justice project supported by Justice for All (J4A) Programme of the Department for International Development (DFID) to provide holistic and high quality medical and psycho-social services to survivors of intercourseual assault in Lagos State.

Responsibilities:  

•   Ensure proper documentation of all clients complete with at required forms and documents

•   Collate client data into the Data Management System and assist with data collation and reports as required and requested.

•   Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; verifying receipt of supplies and requisitioning in line with office procedure Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling or repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques

Requirements:

•   Degree/Higher Diploma in social sciences or related field.

•   At least 3 years experience working in an administrative capacity preferably in a nongovernmental organization.

•   Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team

•   Ability to engage constructively with diverse groups and individuals from different social and cultural backgrounds

•   Knowledge of gender-based violence issues in the Lagos context

•   Ability to plan in advance and maintain an organized working style, yet able to handle new events and situations effectively as they arise.

•   Able to work independently, multi-task, and take initiative, but also able to ask for help as needed.

•   Excellent computer skills including the ability to operate spreadsheets and other programs (Word, Excel, Power point. etc.)
