Actress, Angela Okorie has gone the way of Mercy Johnson and a host of other female actresses who have had to shave their hair to act movie roles. In the yet to be titled new flick which features Clems Ohameze and Adorah Ukoh, Angela plays the lead role of Anita, a young woman determined to bring succor to widows against the back drop of challenges they face once their husbands die in our society.
Commenting, Angela described the new role as a big challenge to her: "It's all about widows and their plight. After their husbands die, these poor women are subject to various degrading rituals including drinking the water which was used to wash their husband's corpse. The movie is all about creating awareness about the plight of these poor women.
"The most challenging part is shaving off my hair because it is something that I have never done before. It's what's in vogue; everyone wants to shave their hair. However, I shaved my hair for a movie that's worth it. I have been saving my hair for a story like this, one that's going to add value. I know Nigerians will appreciate the message because the movie x-rays the plight of widows," she said.

That is the new trend in town now amongst those actresses. They make money that way so i am very sure they don't intend to stop.
