The Deputy speaker, House of Representatives and the minority leader representing Aboh Mbaise in the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha and Ngozi Pat-Ekeji has started distributing bags of fertilizers to women in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
The fertilizers were distributed in order to encourage local farmers increase their food production and agricultural transformation, which will increase the State economy.
Ekeji charged the women to distribute the fertilizers fairly and promised them further assistance in future.
The Deputy Speaker's aide, Mr Chibuike Onyeukwu who was also present at the venue commended the gesture and said that the distribution is timely considering the decline in production.
The Women thanked the donors, Chief Ihedioha and Honourable Ekeji and prayed God to continue to guide them as they have brought dividends of democracy down to the grass roots
