QuotePresidential candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples' Party (ANPP) Malam Ibrahim Shekarau says he will accept whatever the outcome of the election if it is free and fair as well as credible.
Speaking soon after casting his vote at his Giginyu ward in Kano metropolis, Shekarau expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election in the state, saying so far he had not received any complaints of shortage of election materials or violence arising from the polls.
He said the security arrangement put in place all over the state is a thing of pride and therefore urged security personnel to keep the tempo in subsequent elections.
Governor Shekarau described voters' turnout in Kano as encouraging and lauded the maturity of Nigerians displayed at various polling stations.
The governor was at the polling unit right inside Giginyu Primary School at exactly 12 noon and in less than 15 minutes he got accredited and later cast his vote.
