| Team Leader & Governance/Institutional Development Expert – Niger Delta Support Programme (NDSP) Objectives of the role:The Project Manager as the team leader has the overall responsibility for all aspects of project planning, communication and implementation. The Project Manager will be based at the PIMU and make regular missions to the IFOs and the communities to support and monitor project implementation. Length of the project:48 monthsStart Date:Second quarter of 2013Qualifications and skillsAs a minimum the expert should have a Masters' degree in Project Management, Political/Social Sciences, Rural Governance, Development Studies, Forestry or Agriculture Economics or relevant/equivalent field. 15 years of experience in the relevant fields mentioned may be accepted in lieu of Master's degree. A professional certification in Project Management will be an advantage.General professional experienceA minimum of 10 years' experience in international development cooperation and management of rural/community governance, strengthening project implementation and infrastructural development programmes. | PIMU Rural Water and Sanitation Engineer – Niger Delta Support Programme (NDSP) Objectives of the role:The PIMU Water and Sanitation expert will report to the Senior Technical Engineer on rural infrastructure and will supervise the work of the engineers in the Implementation Field Offices (IFOs). Length of the project:48 monthsStart Date:Second quarter of 2013Qualifications and skillsMSc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Water and Sanitation, Infrastructure Development, Urban Planning or other relevant/equivalent field. S/he must be excellent in spoken and written English. 12 years of experience in the relevant fields may be accepted in lieu of Master's degree.
