Affected by her loss in last Saturday's National Assembly election, daughter of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senator Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello refused to vote for the presidential flagbearer of her Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan.
Senator Obasanjo-Bello who neither came for accreditation nor voted at her Ita-Eko Ward 11 polling unit, was roundly beaten in the polling unit and the entire Ward 11 in the National Assembly poll for Ogun Central Senatorial District by Gbenga Obadara, the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN).
It was gathered that Iyabo could not come to vote because she was said to have travelled out of the country mid last week.
Ex-president Obasanjo, however, came for accreditation at 11.30 and voted at exactly 12.30 in the same ward.
Unlike the high turn-out of voters recorded during last Saturday's National Assembly election in Ogun State, today's presidential election was characterized by low turn-out of voters.
