Job Title: Registrar

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Organisation: Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON)

The Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria was established by Decree 45 of 1989 (now Act Cap B 13 LFN 2004) and is charged with the responsibility of regulating and controlling the practice of the Building Technology Profession in all aspects and ramifications.

Duties: – The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary to the Council.  – The successful candidate shall be expected to provide the requisite professional and administrative advice to the Council and leadership to the staff of the Secretariat in the achievement of the mandates of CORBON. – He or She shall foster good rapport with the relevant organs and professional bodies that could lead to the ultimate attainment of CORBON objectives as enumerated in relevant sections of the Enabling Act.

Qualifications:

•   The candidate should possess a Bachelors degree in Building/Building Technology. Higher qualifications such as M.Sc, Ph.D, etc, will be an added advantage.

•   The candidate must be a member of Nigerian Institute of Building (MNIOB/FNIOB) and CORBON Registered Builder.

•   Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years post qualification cognate experience relevant to the building profession.

•   The candidate must not be more than 50 years.

Terms of Appointment:

(a) The appointment shall be on a PART-Time.

(b) The candidate to be appointed shall domicile in Abuja.
