This followed last Thursday's attacks on medical doctors and other health workers by men of Nigeria Police Force on account of the inability of the hospital morgue to accommodate bodies of policemen killed at Bama town in Bornu State.

The alleged mayhem unleashed on the health workers, including the Acting Chief Medical Director of the hospital, led to the vandalization of the hospital property, with health workers and patients sustaining various degrees of injuries.

Condemning the action of the police officers in a press statement, National President of the Association, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, called on the Federal Government to ensure that perpetrators are brought to book.
