Speaker of Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Mr. Konbowei Benson, has explained that the House leadership embark on the N30 million renovation work on the structures at the state House of Assembly complex to make it conducive for legislative duties.

The roof of the old complex was at the verge of caving in with several leakages during rainfall, due to years of neglect.

He said though the renovation work was slow, the structures at the complex had contributed to the bad working environment experienced as same contributed to low productivity among the Assembly employees.

Speaking when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Assembly complex, weekend, he urged the contractor handling the renovation work to expedite action on the job.
