Struggling Italian Serie A giants, Inter Milan, are
banking on the exuberance and talent of their
Nigerian import, Joel Obi, to rebuild the team ahead
of next season as they are also set for a massive
clear-out to weed off some unproductive players in
their ranks, reports Italy's largest selling daily sports
paper,Gazzetta Delo Sport.
.
Obi has been sidelined by a nagging injury since the
commencement of the out- going season and he
recently underwent another surgery on his troubled
knee in Finland.
.
He is currently recuperating under the watchful eyes
of the club's medics with a hope of returning to full
action after the summer break.
.
The Super Eagles midfielder alongside Walter
Gargano and Gaby Mudingayi are some of the players
the club management are hoping to inject so as to
strengthen the team, while veteran Esteban
Cambiasso will also be offered a new contract in a bid
to find their way back to the top echelon of Serie A.
.
Inter are currently placed 9th on the Serie A log
which means that they will not campaign in the
continent next season.
They've been very poor this season I must confess. Ever since Mourinho left them, they've been very weak. Too bad for their fans.
