The Nasarawa State Government has pledged to assist the wives of the Security Officers to bury of their husbands who lost their lives in Alakyo village. Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura made this known while receiving wives of Police and State Security Service officers led by the Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, Mr. Abayomi in his office recently.
Al-makura in his speech, appealed to the widows to maintain peace and tranquility, adding that the matter has been reported to Vice President Mohammad Namadi Sambo for necessary action.
He further indicated that the State government has held discussions on the recent ugly situation that affected the officers at the Lafia East Development Area towards finding a way forward in spite of the report sent to the Federal Government.
On behalf of the widows, Stalla Momoh, Rita Zekire and Godiya Wakama called on the State government to assist them to train their children. They also called on the State government to release the bodies of their husbands for them to take home for burial.

I'm sure the affected victims would be fed up of pledges and promises right about now, all we all want now is fulfilment of all those promises.
